XPENG has published two different sets of figures at different stages. They should not be silently combined.

The sources do not explain every difference. It could reflect a revised configuration, a changed counting method or corrected product language. Without an explicit company reconciliation, this page uses the newest 24 August figures for current status and preserves the older numbers as dated launch claims.

This is exactly why a spec should carry a date. Copying 82 DOF from the launch and 2,250 TOPS from a later announcement into one undated paragraph can accidentally describe a configuration XPENG never published as a single product.

What can IRON currently be said to do?

XPENG’s materials demonstrate and describe human-like walking, conversation and interaction research, while the current commercial plan starts in bounded company environments. The latest announcement says the platform is intended to perform complex tasks without remote operation, powered by an on-robot model and three Turing AI chips.

That is a company capability claim, not an independent reliability measurement. The most defensible current evidence is layered:

  • a physical machine has appeared and moved in public;
  • the company has exposed visible internals and published hardware specifications;
  • it has named stores and campuses as initial deployment settings;
  • it has announced financing and a production schedule;
  • customer delivery volume, failure rate, duty cycle and supported task list are not yet public operating evidence.
