China This Way currently works without accounts, advertising trackers, analytics cookies, a newsletter or a contact form.

What the site receives

Like most websites, Cloudflare processes basic request data needed to deliver, protect and observe the service, such as an IP address, browser information, requested page, time, performance and security signals. China This Way has not configured a separate product-analytics service and does not use this information to build reader profiles.

Search

Site search runs in your browser against a public index. The query stays in the page address and is not submitted to a China This Way search server.

Third-party links

Articles link to government pages, research, companies and media sources. Following those links takes you to a separate service with its own privacy practices. China This Way does not control them.

If this changes

Any future analytics, email or reader-response service must be documented here before it is switched on. The page will name the provider, purpose, data and retention period in plain English.
